 Skopelos is one of the islands of the Northern Sporades, the second island in the series after the islands. It has an area of approximately 96 square. around 67 thousand km.

Filled with dense forests covering nearly 80% of its extent, is considered the greenest in the Aegean. It has good tourist infrastructure, but less crowded together (30,000 persons 15/8/2007) from nearby cosmopolitan Skiathos and maintain more traditional nature.

The town of Skopelos is a traditional island town with distinctive architecture and beautiful paths. It declared a traditional settlement. The Country and the entire island is full of old traditional churches, chapels and monasteries.

In northern and eastern side of Skopelos, the coastline is rocky, while the south and west, the slopes create the beautiful beaches of the island green. On the south side gathered the most beautiful beaches, the grapes, Velanio, Agnontas, Limnonari, Panormos, Milia, the Kastani the Elios, the Armenopetra and many others, "drowned" in the green of pine.

Extends to a length of about 4 km outside the town of Skopelos and consists of a fertile valley with fresh olive crosses the central road, and ends at the beach of the bunch. Along the road are newly built accommodation, mostly small family businesses, also a grocery and a few taverns. The grapes are ideal for those who want to spend relaxing holidays in the countryside, near the sea and near the town of Skopelos, which is easily accessible by bus, taxi or even on foot.
