| Sikinos is a Cycladic island in the Aegean Sea, located between the islands of Folegandros and Ios and within 14 and 10 miles respectively. From Piraeus is 102 miles. The capital of the island is the namesake of Sikinos or Castle. According to Greek mythology the island Sikinos took its name from Sikinos Thoanta his son, King of Lemnos, and grandson of Bacchus and Ariadne in Naxos residents.
