The county is Fokida region and county in the region of Central Greece. It has an area of 2,120 km ² and a population of 48,284 (Census 2001), while the capital of the prefecture is Amfissa. The economy of the county based on the cultivation of olives in bauxite mining, tourism, production of honey, to fish farming, the livestock and poultry and fisheries.
